ITSNJ's primary interest and focus is promoting the accelerated deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems and Services (ITS) in New Jersey. Its Mission is to facilitate the deployment of ITS technology in New Jersey, to promote intermodalism, mass transportation and improved air quality in the State, and to foster economic development in New Jersey through expanded business and employment opportunities. ITSNJ provides an environment for government officials, private sector companies, and academia to share ideas and apply them rapidly on roadways and transit facilities. ITSNJ's neutral forum enables critically needed policy and technical discussions that will help shape the future of ITS investment in New Jersey.

The Intelligent Transportation Society of New Jersey is a non-lobbying, non-profit, 501(c)3 organization of public, private, and academic sector organizations. ITSNJ is a State Chapter of ITS America.
